“A herniated intervertebral disc is one of the most common spinal pathologies today. We perform 2–3 such endoscopic (minimally invasive, closed) surgeries daily. The hernia is removed through a small incision, and in 98% of cases, patients are discharged the very next day. The surgery typically lasts about 40 minutes, and hospitalization does not exceed one day.
We have also introduced unilateral transpedicular fixation, which nearly eliminates the risk of hernia recurrence. Previously, the recurrence rate was around 7–10%, but with this technique, it becomes almost impossible.
